From 2009 – 2013 I studied Media Design (in specification Art & Design) at the Creative Industry School in Amsterdam. This greatly expanded my view on design and my role within the possibilities of concept and development. My diverse internships brought me from designing women’s T-shirt prints to conceptualizing marketing campaigns for education.
I started working at the marketing & communication agency Contentory / Bereikmeer around 7 years ago. What started as a position as a graphic designer quickly grew within a month into a position as a media designer, where I was responsible for graphic design, animation, web design and later also web development (in WordPress and Shopware). Here I brought projects to fruition either autonomously or with a small team.
When I’m away from work, I like to challenge myself and learn more by practicing drawing, reading and exercising. It’s safe to say that I like to stay active and creative.
Currently, I’m also working on a personal side-project in my spare time: an instagram and twitter account named NaniNaniNL. It’s a project meant to inform Japanese expats about Dutch products and culture. A good way for me to practice photography, drawing, typography for Japanese design and help people out at the same time. While I do write the subjects and information, the translations are done by my partner.
